As the 2025 college football season draws near, the Georgia Bulldogs are actively building their 2026 recruiting class, and their efforts have recently secured another in-state commitment.
Carter Luckie, a four-star defensive lineman from Norcross, Georgia, has committed to the University of Georgia. Listed at 6-foot-5 and 265 pounds by 247Sports, Luckie is the younger brother of current Georgia tight end, Lawson Luckie. If Lawson remains with the Bulldogs for the 2026 season, they will join a list of brother duos who have played concurrently for the team, including the Branch, Bennett, and Bell brothers.
Not only will he have the chance to play with his brother he is also will be the fifth person in family to play for the Bulldogs as hid dad, Mike and his twins Miles and Dustin did as well.
Georgia’s ongoing emphasis on recruiting talent for the line of scrimmage is evident with this latest addition. Luckie’s commitment brings the Bulldogs’ 2026 class to 11 commits. This addition further bolsters a class that was already ranked 11th nationally before his pledge, and Kirby Smart and his staff are expected to continue their recruiting efforts for the upcoming class that looks to be at the top at the end of this recruiting cycle.
