Georgia lands 2026 4-star DL Carter Luckie

The Georgia Bulldogs have made a significant addition to their future roster. Carter Luckie, the nation’s No. 39 defensive lineman and a 2026 four-star recruit, has committed to play under Kirby Smart, further strengthening the team’s potential.

The 6-foot-5 athlete from Norcross, Georgia, was picked to continue his football college career at Georgia over schools that included Florida State, NC State, and Ohio State. Luckie will join his older brother Lawson Luckie, who plays tight end and has played with the Bulldogs since 2023.

The Luckie family’s connection to the Georgia football program dates back to Carter Luckie’s father, Mike, and his two uncles who both played for Georgia in 1995, making them the first triplet brothers to play on the same college football team.

Luckie family ties to Georgia

In 2023, Lawson Luckie, Carter’s older brother, began his journey with the Georgia Bulldogs. He recorded two receptions for nine yards and one touchdown in his freshman year. His sophomore year in 2024 saw a significant improvement, with 348 yards and three touchdowns on 24 receptions.

Carter’s father, Mike, played football for Georgia in 1995 alongside his two brothers, Dustin and Miles. This made them the first set of triplets to play on the same college football team. Miles became the first Luckie triplet to start a game at Georgia in 1996 and scored a touchdown in 1997 before transferring to James Madison University.
