Mississippi State football added two defensive commitments to its 2026 recruiting class on May 31.
Kaleb Morris, a defensive lineman from Seemes, Alabama, committed to the Bulldogs after taking an official visit. He announced the news with a post on X. Later in the day, safety Antavius Watts from Carver, Georgia committed to MSU with a post on X.
Morris is ranked as a three-star by 247Sports, but doesn’t have a grade from the 247Sports Composite rankings. He plays for Mary G. Montgomery High School near Mobile, Alabama and chose MSU over offers from Houston, Tulane, FAU, Boston College, Georgia Tech and more.
Watts is not ranked by 247Sports and picked Mississippi State over Georgia State, Kennesaw State, Jacksonville State, South Alabama and other Group of 5 schools.

Morris, who’s measured at 6-foot-4, 250 pounds, is ranked as the No. 125th defensive lineman by 247Sports. He’s the No. 47 player in Alabama.
Mississippi State football recruiting class 2026
Mississippi State now has 10 commitments for its 2026 recruiting class. Morris the second defensive linemen, joining four-star Emanuel Tucker. Watts is the second safety along with Kolby Barrett.

Where Mississippi State ranks in 2026 team recruiting rankings
The Bulldogs’ 2026 recruiting class is ranked No. 38 nationally, according to the 247Sports Composite. It’s the 10th in the SEC.
