Good news, college football and video game fans alike. Last week, EA Sports announced that the new ‘College Football 26’ video game will officially be available on July 10, revealing the cover athletes for the game. EA Sports also released a trailer that was one minute and 52 seconds in length.
With Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” playing in the background throughout the trailer, the Virginia Tech Hokies appeared at the 38-second mark of the video. The Hokies are coming through the tunnel at Lane Stadium onto the field.

Interestingly, the iconic “Enter Sandman” theme plays throughout the video, before and after the Hokies’ entrance. Virginia Tech began using “Enter Sandman” in 2000, one year after appearing in the national championship game. Throughout the years, the Hokies and Metallica have enjoyed a friendly partnership that led to an amazing concert at Lane Stadium last month.
The new game will have several new features, including a “Trophy Room” in Dynasty mode, which tracks the player’s accomplishments over the years.
While the game hits shelves on July 10, if you order the Deluxe Edition or the EA Sports MVP Bundle, you can play three days sooner on July 7.
