Clemson football lands 4-star Max Brown, Sammy Brown’s younger brother

CLEMSON — Clemson football and coach Dabo Swinney added their first player in the 2027 recruiting class with the commitment of four-star linebacker Max Brown.

The 6-foot-1, 214-pounder from Jefferson High School in Jefferson, Georgia, is rated the No. 35 player in the state by the 247Sports Composite rankings. Brown committed after Clemson offered him June 1. He is the younger brother of Sammy Brown, who was Clemson’s top prospect in the 2024 recruiting cycle.

Max Brown helped Jefferson to a 11-4 record last season, recording 152 tackles, 14 for loss, and two sacks.

Brown’s commitment is a big win for linebackers coach Ben Bouleware, who was promoted to this position after serving as an unpaid defensive volunteer intern last season. This is Bouleware’s first commit he has recruited and landed with the Tigers in the new position.
