For the second time this spring, a Streetsboro lineman committed to play Division I football as rising senior Arthur Scott III announced his commitment to play at the University of Wisconsin via social media June 1.
Scott’s announcement came less than a month after classmate Cooper Richmond committed to play offensive line at Columbia University.
Scott committed after he was one of 16 players to visit Wisconsin’s campus last weekend, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Scott finished the 2024 season with 80 tackles — a huge number for a defensive lineman — including 26.5 for loss. He was the Metro Athletic Conference Lineman of the Year in both 2023 and 2024 and a first team all-state selection last season.
Richmond, a first-team all-league and honorable mention all-state selection, didn’t give up a sack all season on the offensive line and had 45 tackles (8.5 for loss) on the defensive line.
Both Richmond and Scott played huge roles in Streetsboro’s dominant ground game, as the Rockets ran for 4,683 yards — 9.3 per carry and 360.2 per game. Both played key roles in Streetsboro’s undefeated regular season and 12 overall wins.
