Georgia football adds brother of NFL All-Pro to their recruiting class

The Georgia Bulldogs have secured a significant commitment for their 2026 recruiting class with four-star cornerback Justice Fitzpatrick announcing his pledge to UGA. This adds to a recent surge in commitments for the Bulldogs. Georgia beat out Florida, Ohio State, Texas and Miami for the polished young cornerback.

Fitzpatrick is highly regarded, ranked as the 47th-best player in the country, the third-best cornerback in his class and the fifth-best player in Florida. He’s not far from being ranked as a five-star recruit.

His commitment is particularly notable due to his connection to NFL All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, his older brother. This familial link likely played a role, as Georgia head coach Kirby Smart previously recruited Minkah Fitzpatrick to Alabama before taking the Georgia job, which fostered a pre-existing relationship.

Justice Fitzpatrick is expected to bring a strong work ethic and determination to Athens, aiming to forge his own path while drawing on his brother’s success as a blueprint. His commitment emphasizes doing things “the right way” both on and off the field, indicating a potential leadership presence in the future.

With official visits picking up, Georgia appears to be capitalizing on this crucial period, continuing a trend of strong recruiting during this time of year in previous cycles. Fitzpatrick’s commitment makes him the 12th player to commit to Georgia’s 2026 class, which already includes five-star quarterback Jared Curtis and ranks among the top classes nationally.
