OXFORD — The third player in Ole Miss football’s 2027 recruiting class is a strong addition for coach Lane Kiffin.
Defensive lineman JaMarkus Pittman committed to Ole Miss on June 6.
The 6-foot-5, 312-pound Pittman plays for the Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering. He is a four-star recruit in the 247Sports Composite rankings. He is the No. 111 player nationally in the 2027 class and the No. 8 defensive lineman. He also plays right tackle.
He had 43 tackles, 15 TFLs and eight sacks last season and helped lead MASE to its first Class 1A state title.
Pittman chose to commit to Kiffin, defensive coordinator Pete Golding and the Rebels over a bevy of offers including Mississippi State, Arkansas, Florida, Florida State, Vanderbilt and Oklahoma State.
The Rebels are up to three players in its 2027 class. Pittman is joining offensive lineman Li’Marcus Jones and Trae’kerrion Collins.
