Missouri football’s worst day of the 2024 season came in College Station.
Texas A&M, in that early October matchup, was in the middle of a seven-game winning streak that had the Aggies in contention for both a place in the SEC title game and a College Football Playoff spot until the last couple weeks of the regular season.
But Mizzou barely registered an appearance on the road in a 41-10 loss.
The Aggies will make the return trip to Columbia this season, when they’ll be late into Year 2 of the Mike Elko coaching tenure.

Quarterback: Marcel Reed, this time for real, is Texas A&M’s starter this season. Mizzou head coach Eli Drinkwitz said in the leadup to last year’s game that he believed Reed would start, and Mizzou appeared caught off guard when Conner Weigman, now at Houston, started under center.
Reed has the tools to succeed in offensive coordinator Collin Klein’s offense, as at his best, he’s a dynamic dual-threat with particularly dangerous rushing ability. But he also has to take a step forward as a passer to succeed. He passed for 169.5 yards per game while tossing 15 touchdowns and six picks last season. He rushed for 547 yards — 49.7 yards per game — and seven scores.
