Notre Dame football coach Marcus Freeman has been pleased with the progress of Fort Wayne product Tae Johnson, a second-year defensive back.
SOUTH BEND — Notre Dame football’s first-ever meeting with the Arkansas Razorbacks will be contested bright and early this fall.
Kickoff at Reynolds Razorback Stadium on Sept. 27 will be at noon Eastern time. That’s 11 a.m. local time as Fayetteville, Ark., is in the Central Time Zone.
ABC television will broadcast the game, the network announced Wednesday, June 11.
Just three kickoff times remain unknown for Notre Dame’s 12-game regular season schedule: Nov. 1 at Boston College, Nov. 15 at Pittsburgh and Nov. 29 at Stanford.
Notre Dame has four night kickoffs that were previously announced, including three at home. The Irish open coach Marcus Freeman’s fourth season at the helm on Aug. 31 at Miami in Miami Gardens, Fla.
Notre Dame also will entertain Texas A&M (Sept. 13), USC (Oct. 18) and Navy (Nov. 8) under the lights with 7:30 p.m. kickoffs at Notre Dame Stadium.
Arkansas, coming off a 7-6 season that included a home upset of fourth-ranked Tennessee, played at noon Eastern three times in 2024.
The Hogs went 0-3 in those outings, falling at No. 16 Oklahoma State (39-31) and at home to No. 19 Ole Miss (63-31) and No. 3 Texas (20-10).
Capacity at Reynolds Razorback Stadium is 76,000.
Notre Dame is 4-1 in noon Eastern starts under Freeman, including a 51-14 win over No. 24 Navy last season at Met Life Stadium in New Jersey. The lone midday loss came at unranked Clemson (31-23) in 2023.
