2025 will mark the fifth season for Tennessee football under head coach Josh Heupel. He guided the Vols to a 37-15 (20-12 SEC) record from 2021-24.
Tennessee is 2-1 in bowl games and 0-1 in College Football Playoff contests under Heupel. The Vols lost the 2021 Music City Bowl to Purdue, while defeating Clemson in the 2022 Orange Bowl and Iowa in the 2024 Citrus Bowl.
Tennessee made its first College Football Playoff appearance in program history during the 2024 season. The Vols lost in the first round at Ohio State.
Heupel and the Vols will host Georgia, UAB, Arkansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico State and Vanderbilt at Neyland Stadium in 2025. Tennessee will travel to Mississippi State, Alabama, Kentucky and Florida for road contests.
The Vols will kick off their 2025 campaign against Syracuse in a neutral site matchup at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
