James Colzie III is the head coach of the FAMU Rattlers football team.
Florida A&M University (FAMU) has released kickoff times for its 2025 football home games.The Rattlers’ home opener against Albany State is scheduled for 7 p.m. on September 13.FAMU’s homecoming game against Alcorn State will kick off at 4 p.m. on October 18.The home finale against Jackson State is set for 7 p.m. on November 1.
Details continue to be released about Florida A&M football’s 2025 schedule.
On Thursday, June 12, the Rattlers announced the kickoff times for their five home games on Ken Riley at Bragg Memorial Stadium.
On Saturday, Sept. 13, FAMU’s Week 3 home opener versus Albany State will be a nighttime kickoff, starting at 7 p.m. The Rattlers versus Golden Rams is a homecoming for Albany State head coach Quinn Gray, a record-breaking quarterback at FAMU and a member of the school’s sports hall of fame.

The Rattlers’ Southwestern Athletic Conference home opener versus the Alabama State Hornets, a Week 5 matchup, will begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27. The following week, FAMU hosts North Carolina Central, a team it last faced in a 28-21 victory in 2019, at 3 p.m.
FAMU’s awaited homecoming football game versus Alcorn State will get a 4 p.m. kickoff. FAMU versus Alcorn State’s Week 8 game on Saturday, Oct. 18, will be the teams’ first meeting since 1987, a game the Braves prevailed in 17-15.
