Michigan State football offers 2026 CB James Henderson

Michigan State football is exploring options in the 2026 recruiting class as backup options, as contingencies for needing to pivot from prospects they may miss out on, but also having the need to fill spots in the 2026 class.

Cornerback is an interesting position group that falls under the aforementioned scenario, while the Spartans hold an initial commitment from KJ Deriso, it is starting to seem as if the Spartans will not land any of the other prospects that have previously visited. That means the staff will start to turn to other prospects.

The latest prospect with the attention of the staff is James Henderson, a 6’2″ and 170 pound cornerback that hails from Cy Falls High School in Houston, Texas.

Henderson is not yet ranked as a prospect by any of the recruiting websites, as his recruitment is just now starting to take shape. Oklahoma State was the first school in on the prospect, offering and hosting him on a June 6 official visit. Wake Forest joined Colorado State, New Mexico, San Diego State and Wyoming in offering the prospect.

It is unclear if a visit is scheduled with MSU, yet, but there is a chance he could be making his way to East Lansing on June 20.
