A super-speedster from Texas has committed to the Colorado State football team.
Cedric Ross announced his commitment on X on June 13.
He’s a bit of a do-it-all athlete from Estacado High School in Lubbock, Texas.
Ross has played receiver, running back and returned kicks. Ross is expected to be a running back at CSU.
Ross has run a laser-timed 4.37-second 40-yard dash and recently took silver in the Texas Class 4A boys 100 meters in 10.57 seconds, according to the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.
Stats for Ross as a junior in 2024 could not be found, but 247Sports reports in 2023 he had 526 rush yards and 635 receiving yards and 13 total touchdowns between rushing and receiving.
Ross doesn’t have a star ranking from 247Sports but has reported offers from Texas Tech, Arizona, San Diego State, Texas State, UTSA, Sacramento State, Air Force, North Texas, UTEP and more.
Ross was on a recruiting visit at CSU on June 6-8, which saw the Rams make a surge of 11 commitments.
