Nebraska football extended an offer to class of 2028 quarterback Gavin Hampton. He made the announcement on social media on Saturday.
Hampton’s profile has grown over the past couple of months. He has received offers from Jacksonville State, Arkansas State, Mississippi State, Miami (Ohio), and Toledo just this month alone.
The quarterback has also attended several camps. He has attended prospect camps at Vanderbilt, Penn, Duke and MTSU among others.
Hampton threw for 1,806 yards and 17 touchdowns in seven games last season. He is viewed as a pro-style quarterback.
The quarterback room appears to be set for 2025 and 2026. However, it’s never too early to start planning for the future at the position, especially with the quarterback position itself being highly valued.
