Four-star offensive line recruit Ekene Ogboko has committed to the Georgia Bulldogs. Ogboko picked the Bulldogs over Florida, Clemson and Notre Dame. He faked out fans at his commitment by tossing hats from all four schools before finally revealing a Georgia shirt.
“I think they fit me perfectly,” said Ogboko after committing to Georgia. He also praised Georgia’s ability to develop offensive linemen into NFL draft picks.
Notably, his older brother Nnamdi Ogboko is a redshirt freshman defensive tackle at Georgia and played a big role convincing Ekene Ogboko to commit to UGA. Ogboko thanked his coaches, teammates and family before announcing his commitment.
The class of 2026 offensive lineman plays high school football for South Garner High School in Durham, North Carolina. Ogboko is teammates with four-star class of 2026 edge rusher Ebenezer Ewetade, who is a Notre Dame commit, so he faces good competition in practice. He also plays high school basketball. As a junior, Ogboko played both left tackle and defensive line for South Garner.
The 6-foot-6, 280-pound lineman is the third-ranked player in North Carolina. Ogboko is the No. 40 recruit in the nation, per 247Sports. Ogboko is not far from being ranked as a five-star recruit. He’s considered an elite interior offensive line prospect, but has the length to play offensive tackle. Ogboko is the No. 3 interior offensive line recruit in the country.
Georgia has commitments from three other offensive linemen in three-star Zachary Lewis and four-stars Zykie Helton and Graham Houston. Coach Kirby Smart and Georgia have the top recruiting class in the SEC and the second-best recruiting class in the nation. Following Ogboko’s announcement, Georgia now has 18 total commitments in the class of 2026.
