AUBURN — For the second time this month, Auburn football’s 2026 recruiting class has lost a commitment, as four-star linebacker Shadarius Toodle announced Sunday he was flipping his pledge from Auburn to Georgia.
Now, Auburn’s latest class is down to just six pledges, as fellow four-star linebacker JaMichael Garrett decommitted from the Tigers on June 12. With neither Garrett nor Toodle in tow, Hugh Freeze’s 2026 class currently ranks No. 57 nationally and No. 14 in the SEC, according to 247Sports.
A Mobile native, Toodle had been committed to Auburn since July 2024. Based on 247’s composite rankings, he was the third-highest-rated pledge in the program’s class.
