Michigan State football gains 4-star wide receiver commitment

Michigan State football has been on an absolute heater in the 2026 recruiting class, securing 18 commitments to this point, and now, have increased that number to 19. On Sunday, the Spartans have gained the commitment of Tyren Wortham, flipping the UCF commit.

Wortham, a native of Sarasota (FL) and Booker High School, is a wide receiver that is 6’0″ and 175 pounds. He is a 4-star prospect that ranks as the No. 387 overall recruit and No. 59 wide receiver according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Despite committing to UCF in April, Wortham took this summer to fully evaluate his decision, to ensure he made the right decision. After an official visit to UCF to kick off the month, he took visits to Georgia and Kansas State, before rounding out the month at MSU, where he decided that he wanted to be home.

The 19th commitment in MSU’s 2026 recruiting class, Wortham joins Kayd Coffman, Braylon Hodge, Cory House, Eddie Whiting, KJ Deriso, Brayden Thomas, Joey Caudill, Eliyjah Caldwell-Hardy, Christopher Knauls, Eli Bickel, Collin Campbell, Quinn Buckey, TJ Umenyiora, Jordan Vann, Fameitau Siale, Zachary Washington, Tristan Comer and Adam Shaw in the recruiting class.
