A target for Tennessee’s 2026 football recruiting class set a commitment date.
Four-star athlete Joel Wyatt will make his commitment decision on July 6, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3. Other teams vying for his commitment include Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, LSU and Georgia.
The 6-foot-4, 185-pound prospect is an in-state target from The Webb School in Bell Buckle, Tennessee. The Webb School is also home to former Tennessee basketball player Keon Johnson.
247Sports ranks Wyatt as the No. 4 athlete in the class and the No. 2 player in Tennessee. He plays wide receiver and defensive back.
Tennessee offered Wyatt a scholarship on May 15, 2024. He unofficially visited three football games in 2024, a spring practice and 865 Live. Wyatt officially visited Tennessee on June 6.
The Vols have nine commitments in their 2026 football recruiting class: quarterback Faizon Brandon, wide receiver Tyreek King, tight end Carson Sneed, offensive lineman Gabriel Osenda, linebacker Braylon Outlaw, defensive lineman C.J. Edwards, defensive lineman Zach Groves, safety K.J. McClain and safety Luke Thompson.
Linebacker JP Peace is Tennessee’s first 2027 football commitment.
