Boom! Ohio State gets verbal pledge from offensive lineman

Boom! Ohio State offensive line coach Tyler Bowen has done it again, landing yet another offensive lineman for the 2026 class. Three-star tackle Aaron Thomas gave his verbal pledge to become a Buckeye on Wednesday.

Thomas is just a three-star prospect, but he checks all the boxes that OSU would be looking for. He stands at 6-foot-6 and weighs in at 300 pounds. Hailing from Phoenix, Arizona, Thomas chose the Buckeyes over Texas, Texas A&M, Washington, and Florida State, where his father, Eric Thomas, was an offensive lineman for the powerhouse Seminoles of the late 1990s. Thomas is listed as the No. 36 offensive tackle according to 247Sports composite rankings.

Ohio State got in late on the young man’s recruitment, sending an offer just a few months ago in March. It wasn’t long after Thomas would visit Columbus where the coaches were able to close the deal.

Thomas becomes the fourth offensive lineman added to the class. The big prize is still on the table in Felix Ojo, rated as the No. 1 tackle in the class by many recruiting services. Ojo has said that Ohio State is neck and neck with his home state Longhorns. The Buckeyes currently have the No. 5 class in the country according to 247Sports.
