Notre Dame receivers coach reaches milestone at youth football camp

Mike Brown loves coming home again.

The Notre Dame wide receivers coach celebrated his tenth annual youth football camp the last several days at Monticello High School in Albemarle County, VA. Every summer for the past 10 years, the former Mustangs star leads drills at his annual youth football camp.

He can’t believe it’s already been a decade.

“I never really thought about it,” Brown said of reaching the milestone. “Each year you just get more and more competitive and you start to see kids that were going through the camp that are now working the camp.”

One of the former camp graduates is rising Louisa County senior and four-star receiver Dyzier Carter, who is committed to Rutgers. And in his second season as ND’s receivers coach, Brown will have another former Mustangs star to coach: Malachi Fields.

Brown and the Irish open the 2025 season at Miami August 31.
