Who is Mississippi’s top player entering the 2025 high school football season? MHSAA and MAIS football fans can decide which high school senior is the best in the state. Now it’s your turn to vote.
Fans may vote in the poll BELOW one time per hour per device. The poll closes at noon on Friday. The nominees come from the Clarion Ledger’s top senior watch list last week.
Vote Mississippi’s top high school football senior for 2025 MHSAA, MAIS season
Hayden Ainsworth, Biloxi: Ainsworth, the Nebraska commit, is rated the fifth-highest offensive lineman and the second-highest inside lineman recruit in the state according to 247Sports Composite.
Dereon Albert, Jackson Academy: Albert, a four-star recruit and No. 8 overall in Mississippi, produced 81 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and seven sacks.
Preston Ashley, Brandon: Ashley, the Colorado commit, is the No. 9 recruit in Mississippi and No. 19 safety, produced 68 tackles with three tackles for loss, an interception and five pass deflections.
Ronde Baker, Terry: Baker, a three-star recruit, had 108 carries for 1,006 yards, 18 receptions for 285 yards and 1,291 all-purpose yards with 24 touchdowns.
Bryson Cooley, West Jones: Cooley is the No. 13 overall recruit in Mississippi and helped West Jones to an 8-3 record.
Zayion Cotton, Grenada: Cotton, the Mississippi State commit, helped Grenada win the MHSAA Class 6A title with 48 receptions for 700 yards and six touchdowns.
Jayden Cration, Canton: Cration, the Mississippi State commit, had 739 receiving yards on 32 receptions with 16 touchdowns.
Raderrion Daniels, Lake Cormorant: Daniels, a Purdue commit, recorded 28 tackles, 21 solo and three interceptions with 12 pass deflections.
