Like father, like son.
Braylon Ellison, a three-star offensive lineman in the Class of 2026, announced Tuesday via his social media accounts that he has committed to Missouri football. His father, Atiyyah Ellison, was a defensive lineman and third-round NFL Draft pick out of Mizzou in the early 2000s and currently works as MU’s director of player and alumni relations.
Braylon Ellison’s older brother, Tyson Ellison, was a walk-on for the football team last season.
With the commitment, Mizzou is up to nine total commitments in the Class of 2026, three of whom are offensive linemen and eight playing on the offensive side of the ball.
Braylon Ellison plays for Boonville High, where he earned a rating as the No. 15 player in Missouri in his class, per 247Sports’ composite ranking. The recruiting service lists him as the No. 1,426 player in the country and the No. 117 interior offensive lineman.
He follows four-star composite offensive lineman Brandon Anderson, who committed Sunday, and three-star, Detroit product Khalief Canty Jr. as big men in Mizzou’s next class.
All three players are expected to play on the interior of the offensive line, meaning MU may still be looking for an offensive tackle in this cycle.
Braylon Ellison is listed at 6-foot-4, 285 pounds. He held 13 Division-I offers, according to 247Sports, but his official visits appear to have been limited to Mizzou and Oregon State.
The Tigers didn’t get much of a bump in the national recruiting rankings, remaining as the No. 76-ranked class in the country, per 247Sports.
With nine total pledges, Mizzou moved on par with South Carolina in terms of total commitments. Missouri, with four composite four-stars and five three-stars, is currently ranked ahead of only Auburn in the SEC.
