Michigan quarterback receives result on Heisman odds

The 2025-2026 college football season starts at the end of next month. On August 23, Week 0 will commence and feature five games, including Iowa State taking on Kansas State.

Ahead of the season, preseason odds for some of the highest honors in the country are coming out, including the Heisman trophy odds.

In a X post (formerly Twitter) from On3 Sports’ Brett McMurphy listed out the Heisman odds from Circa Sports.

Coming in at the 11th best odds is Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood. Underwood’s preseason Heisman odds is 28-1, according to Circa Sports.

Considering that Underwood has yet to take a snap at the collegiate level, this is impressive for the freshman, who is coming in as a highly touted five-star. Underwood’s expectations for his first year with the Wolverines are high.

Two seasons ago, Michigan won the College Football Playoff National Championship against Washington. Last season, the Wolverines had an underwhelming 7-5 season, although a ReliaQuest Bowl victory over Alabama springboarded the Wolverines into the offseason.

Underwood committed to Michigan after originally committing to LSU in June of 2024, but later flipped his commitment to Michigan just five months later last November.

Underwood’s first year will be competing against a top heavy Big Ten. The conference features Penn State, Ohio State and Oregon, who all do not just have playoff aspirations, but championship aspirations. Fortunately for the Wolverines, they only have to face off against Ohio State and avoid the Nittany Lions and Ducks.
