Texas A&M’s 2026 recruiting class is anticipating several key commitments in the coming days/weeks, including four-star wide receiver Ethan “Boobie” Feaster and four-star linebacker Tank King, who are set to announce on Friday. Right now, Feaster is predicted to land with USC, but the Aggies are still in the running, while King is heavily favored to land in College Station.
Defensively, ten of the program’s 22 2026 commitments are either cornerbacks, edge rushers, linebackers, or defensive linemen, and on Thursday, one of the top edge prospects, Duncanville (TX) four-star KJ Ford, who recently took an official visit to Texas A&M on June 13, has announced his commitment date and narrowed down his options, which now includes the Aggies.
Ford will choose between Ohio State, Florida, and Texas A&M on Friday, July 11, which is significant news for Elko and his staff, who were not considered finalists before today. Elko and defensive line coaches Sean Spencer and Tony Jerod-Eddie have earned commitments from three edge rushers, including five-star Tristian Givens. At the same time, they have all shut down their recruitment and are locked in with the program ahead of Early Signing Day.
Ford has been one of the most productive defenders in the Lone Star State over the past two seasons, including 57 tackles, seven sacks, 16 tackles for loss, and 15 hurries during his 2024 junior season. According to 247Sports recruiting insider Mike Roach, Texas A&M and Ohio State look like the clear front-runners to make some noise heading into next week.
