Nebraska football target Devin Jackson committed to the Oregon Ducks on Friday afternoon. He made the announcement on social media.
Jackson is the No. 21 overall safety in the 2026 class and the No. 32 overall player in his class from the state of Florida, according to the On3 industry rankings. Oregon, Florida, Miami, and Nebraska were all in the mix for the playmaker. Now, he will head to Eugene.
Jackson recorded 80 tackles and four interceptions last season for The First Academy in Orlando, Fla., according to statistics from MaxPreps.com.
This is certainly a bummer for Huskers, as Jackson would have been a major impact player at the safety position. That being said, they have certainly made some major gains in the 2026 recruiting class in a month’s time. The class currently ranks No. 37 overall in the country, according to the On3 rankings.
