Michigan State football lands 3-star edge rusher Chris Addison

Michigan State’s recruiting heater has continued into the month of July, and the coaching staff has just landed another massive recruit in the 2026 recruiting class.

Chris Addison, a Winnsboro, Louisiana native, is a 6-foot-3, 250 pound edge rusher that has made the decision to commit to MSU.

Addison is an 89-rated, 3-star prospect that had a ton of solid suitors. The Spartans had to beat out Florida State and UCLA, and this proves to be a massive recruiting win for rush ends coach Chad Wilt. Florida State was perceived to be a lock to land the prospect, but the Spartans won out in this recruitment.

This now marks 22 commitments in the MSU class, with Addison joining Kayd Coffman, Braylon Hodge, Cory House, Eddie Whiting, KJ Deriso, Brayden Thomas, Joey Caudill, Eliyjah Caldwell-Hardy, Christopher Knauls, Eli Bickel, Collin Campbell, Quinn Buckey, TJ Umenyiora, Jordan Vann, Fameitau Siale, Zachary Washington, Tristan Comer, Adam Shaw, Tyren Wortham, Samson Gash and Jeremiah Favorite in the recruiting class.
