Princeton three-star tight end Landen Miree announced his verbal commitment to Arizona State in a ceremony at Princeton High School on Friday.

Princeton High School rising senior Landen Miree is a three-star recruit, a top 40 tight end in the nation and a top 35 player in Ohio for his class, according to 247Sports.

He earned 38 Division I football offers from powerhouse programs including Florida, Florida State, LSU, Oregon, Texas A&M and more. Still, he considers himself underrated.

“I’m the best in the nation,” Miree said.

On Friday, the 6-foot-4, 215-pound Miree announced his verbal commitment to continue his football career at Arizona State University. Miree said the Sun Devils are getting a hard worker and a player with the skillset of a wide receiver but the body of an FBS tight end.

Miree has been a serious problem for opposing defenses since his sophomore year. As a sophomore, he caught 24 passes for 371 yards and four touchdowns. His numbers exploded as a junior in 2024, when he went for 56 catches for 714 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Miree spends a lot of time working with Johnny Long, Princeton’s wide receivers coach. Long said he treats Miree like a wide receiver, putting him through the same drills and working on the same skills as Princeton’s wideouts.
