Tennessee is closing in on a top prospect for its 2026 football recruiting class.
Five-star interior offensive lineman Darius Gray listed the Vols in his top five schools, along with Clemson, LSU, South Carolina and Ohio State on Sunday.
The 6-foot-3, 285-pound prospect is from St. Christopher’s School in Richmond, Virginia. He is a consensus No. 1 interior offensive line prospect in the class of 2026.
Tennessee offered Gray a scholarship on April 26, 2023. He unofficially visited Tennessee for the Georgia football game in 2023 and UTEP game in 2024. He officially visited Tennessee on June 6.
The Vols have 21 commitments in their 2026 football recruiting class: quarterback Faizon Brandon, wide receiver Tyreek King, tight end Carson Sneed, offensive lineman Gabriel Osenda, linebacker Braylon Outlaw, defensive lineman CJ Edwards, defensive lineman Zach Groves, safety KJ McClain, safety Luke Thompson, defensive end Kedric Golston II, offensive lineman Edward Baker, wide receiver Zaydyn Anderson, quarterback Legend Bey, defensive lineman Dereon Albert, linebacker TJ White, cornerback Jamyan Theodore, defensive lineman Darryl Rivers, wide receiver Javonte Smith, linebacker Brayden Rouse, safety Jowell Combay and offensive lineman JB Shabazz.
