Where is UGA in the SEC recruiting rankings after adding two commits

The Georgia Bulldogs are the SEC’s top winners in recruiting recently. Over the weekend, Georgia secured commitments from five-star tight end Kaiden Prothro and four-star athlete Tyriq Green. Georgia has the SEC’s top recruiting class and has been among the nation’s hottest teams on the recruiting trail over the past several weeks.

Georgia has a legitimate chance to finish with the No. 1 recruiting class in the country. The Bulldogs have either the No. 1 (Rivals) or No. 2 (ESPN, 247Sports) recruiting class in the 2026 cycle depending on the source you use. Georgia is ranked behind the USC Trojans in both ESPN and 247Sports’ ratings.

No other SEC team has more commitments than Georgia’s 29. Kirby Smart and Georgia are poised to finish with another elite recruiting class.

Lurking behind Georgia are Texas A&M (No. 3 national recruiting class ranking), Alabama (No. 5), LSU (No. 7) and Texas (No. 9). The SEC has half of the country’s top 10 recruiting classes. We’ll see another surge of commitments in July and August as top recruits make their decisions before the start of their respective senior seasons.

Early signing day is not until December and we’ll see a lot of turmoil in the recruiting rankings as the regular season begins and coaches move throughout the year and into the offseason. However, we’re certain the SEC will bring in another prolific recruiting class in the 2026 cycle.
