Speculation sparks after Colorado Buffaloes football coach Deion Sanders’ medical team announces press conference

Colorado Buffaloes football coach Deion Sanders will be joined by his medical staff on Monday to announce what his potential impending return to Boulder will look like, per BuffZone’s Brian Howell.

Sports Illustrated’s Liam McKeone expects the news to be good.

“There will be many eyes on Sanders’s Buffaloes during the 2025 college football season as fans and analysts alike wonder how he’ll coach without his son, Shedeur Sanders, under center. Fortunately it seems Sanders is in good health as he embarks on the new year,” McKeone wrote.

Not too long ago, Coach Prime’s future at the University of Colorado Boulder was in question.

“Sanders Sr. has been away from his job in Colorado since April and did not attend Colorado’s annual youth and high school camps in June, even though operating such camps is listed in his employment contract as one of his official duties,” USA Today’s Brent Schrotenboer wrote.

“The timing of his return to campus remains unclear. This is usually a dead time of year for head coaches in college football, but he is due to make an appearance at a Big 12 Conference media event in Frisco, Texas, on July 9.”

Now, it seems like Sanders is on the mend, ready to lead his first Buffs group without his sons, Shedeur and Shilo, and 2024 Heisman winner Travis Hunter.

We’ll see Mon onday the extent of Sanders’ return to CU.
