For the second time this week, a top-100 overall prospect committed to Clemson says that his recruitment is shut down.
The Tigers picked up a massive pledge from Roebuck (S.C.) Dorman four-star safety Kentavion Anderson on May 16. He chose the ACC program over South Carolina, North Carolina, Michigan and others.
Now, a couple of months removed from his decision, Anderson is cementing his status with head coach Dabo Swinney and Co. in Death Valley.
“I’m all in. Locked in with Clemson University 1000 percent,” Anderson wrote on X. “Big thanks to every coach who rocked with me, but it’s up now. Let’s work. Let’s eat. Let’s make history.”
There hasn’t been much chatter surrounding Anderson giving other programs a look since committing to Clemson in May. Regardless, he now follows elite four-star wide receiver commit Naeem Burroughs, who also shut his recruitment down earlier this week.
Anderson and Burroughs are the two highest-ranked prospects in Clemson’s 2026 class. The former checks in as the No. 86 overall prospect and No. 7 safety in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He’s also the top-ranked recruit in the Palmetto State.
Anderson broke down his decision with Rivals’ Chad Simmons. Swinney played a crucial role in his commitment to the Tigers.
“He is a great person,” Anderson said of the longtime Clemson skipper. “We know what he has done as a coach, but coach Dabo is going to help me become a better man off the field too. It is not just about football with him or his coaching staff. They do a lot more for their players and I am going to learn a lot about life and football from coach Dabo and all the people at Clemson.”
