Brian Kelly says Nic Anderson was in concussion protocol from a car accident a few weeks ago.
He’s cleared it and this was a mandatory non-contact day for him. He’ll be worked back into contact work starting tomorrow. #LSU

LSU football wide receiver Nic Anderson is continuing to ramp up his workload as fall camp gets underway for LSU, per head coach Brian Kelly.
Anderson entered concussion protocol after a car accident a few weeks ago. On Wednesday, the first day of camp, he went through a mandatory non-contact day and was worked back into contact work on Thursday.
Despite his initial limitations, Anderson will be a full participant for much of camp and up to speed by LSU’s 2025 season opener at Clemson. He is one of several new receivers working into offensive coordinator Joe Sloan’s system.
Anderson was part of the nation’s top 2025 transfer portal class. He ranked No. 9 at his position in the cycle after three seasons at Oklahoma. Injuries limited his performance last year, but he had high expectations after a standout 2023.
As a sophomore, Anderson caught 38 passes for 798 yards and 10 touchdowns. His length and speed will add a new level of talent to the Tigers’ offense. Anderson was one of the SEC’s top big-play threats in 2023. LSU hopes he can find a similar role at LSU as the Tigers look to develop their vertical passing game.
