Miami Hurricanes rank No. 10 in the preseason US LBM Coaches Poll, following a 10-3 season and producing the 2025 NFL Draft’s first pick.The Hurricanes, led by head coach Mario Cristobal, earned 823 points in the poll, surpassing teams like Arizona State, Illinois, and Michigan.Former Georgia quarterback Carson Beck, a two-time national champion, joins Miami as the starting quarterback.Miami’s first game of the 2025 season is against No. 5 Notre Dame.
The Miami Hurricanes football team will open the 2025 season No. 10 on the preseason US LBM Coaches Poll.
After a 10-3 record and producing the first pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Hurricanes find themselves right in the thick of the top teams in the country. Coach Mario Cristobal had the best season of his tenure with Miami in 2024 and his team is still riding high according to the coaches poll.
The Hurricanes received no first place votes but did receive 823 total points on the poll. They beat out notable teams such as Arizona St. (11), Illinois (12), South Carolina (13) and Michigan (14). Although finishing Top 10, Miami is still have below top level teams such as LSU (9), Alabama (8), Oregon (7) and Clemson (6). The Hurricanes play Notre Dame (5) in the first game of the 2025 season.
The biggest change for the Hurricanes this upcoming year is the incoming starting quarterback Carson Beck. Beck was a two year starter at Georgia and won two National Championships as a backup in 2021 and 2022. He was 24-4 as a starter at Georgia and hopes to bring his winning mentality to the Hurricanes and lift them to their first ever ACC…
