Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell stars in new Applebee’s commercials for 2025. Campbell filmed the commercials in Howell, Michigan, in July.
Former Saline High School quarterback CJ Carr has just been named the starting quarterback at Notre Dame.
Carr, the grandson of former Michigan football coach Lloyd Carr, was a three-year starter at Saline and was named as the Free Press’ No. 1-rated high school football player in Michigan ahead of the 2023 season.
Carr led Saline to the Division 1 playoffs in 2023, but lost in the second round, 65-14, to Bryce Underwood’s Belleville, at the time the two-time defending state champions.
The four-star recruit was looking at Michigan during the 2023 recruiting cycle, but chose Notre Dame over his home state’s biggest school, to the surprise of his grandfather.
Carr played in one game for the Fighting Irish in 2024 but preserved his redshirt. He is now aiming to lead Notre Dame, ranked No. 5 in the preseason coaches poll, back to the College Football Playoff, where the Fighting Irish lost to Ohio State, 34-23, in the national title game.
CJ’s brother Tommy is now the quarterback at Saline and is a three-star prospect committed to play at Miami (Ohio).
