Florida football has 5 players named to 2026 Senior Bowl Top 300 List

The 2026 Senior Bowl Top 300 List was released this week, and this year’s edition of the prestigious preseason watch list included a quartet of Florida football players.

Seniors J. Michael Sturdivant, Austin Barber, Jake Slaughter, Caleb Banks and Tyreak Sapp all earned mentions, giving the Gators five players who look to compete in the de facto NFL draft showcase.

Sturdivant transferred to Florida for his fifth year after spending his first two seasons with the California Golden Bears and his last two seasons with the UCLA Bruins. Barber, Slaughter, Banks and Sapp all returned for a fifth season with the Gators, making them four of seven players on the 2025 roster to do so.

About the Senior Bowl

“The Panini Senior Bowl is widely regarded as the preeminent college football all-star game and the first stage in the NFL Draft process. The longest continually running all-star game has taken place in Mobile, Alabama, the past 76 years,” the website states.

“More than 900 NFL personnel, including key decision-makers from all 32 teams, and over 1100 media members from around the country were credentialed this year. This past April, the game produced 106 total picks, representing 40 percent of the entire NFL draft.”
