Kaleb Johnson, Iowa RB from Hamilton, rushes for 119 yards, two TDs in one half

Iowa Hawkeyes junior running back Kaleb Johnson rushed for 119 yards on 11 carries with two touchdowns in the second half of Saturday’s season opener against Illinois State.

Johnson and fellow running back Jaziun Patterson were suspended for the first half of the 40-0 win for violation of team rules.

Johnson scored on fourth-quarter TD runs of 64 yards and 18 yards.

Johnson entered the season with 1,242 rushing yards. Saturday’s game was his fifth at Iowa with more than 100 rushing yards.
