The University of South Carolina makes its first trip to Norman on Saturday for its first matchup with the Oklahoma Sooners. These schools have never met on the gridiron before, and it’s only fitting that their first encounter would be in Oklahoma’s first season as a member of the SEC.
The Gamecocks come into this game 3-3, looking for a win to help overcome the .500 mark. Oklahoma is looking to inch closer and closer to securing bowl eligibility for a third consecutive year under Brent Venables.

Oklahoma is capable of winning and losing this game. The Gamecocks have some incredible talent, namely on the defensive side, but there are a few offensive players people not familiar with South Carolina should know about.
