Michigan State football is one of 12 schools still in the running for one of the top in-state prospects in the 2026 class.
Three-star offensive lineman Khalief Canty included Michigan State among his top 12 schools list he released on Thursday. Canty also included the following schools on his list: Alabama, Kansas, Indiana, Auburn, Tennessee, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Pitt, Colorado and Texas A&M.
Canty ranks as the No. 21 interior offensive lineman in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2026 class. He’s also listed as the No. 6 player from Michigan in the class.
Canty holds offers from nearly 20 programs. Michigan State extended him an offer in December 2022.
