Nebraska picked up a commitment from Purdue Boilermaker freshman quarterback Marcos Davila. The announcement was made on Friday.
Davila was a former four-star recruit according to 247Sports and a three-star prospect by Rivals and On3 rankings. He was the 20th overall quarterback in the country, and he was the No. 47 overall recruit in the state of Texas for the 2024 recruiting cycle, according to 247Sports.
Davila did not appear in a game for Purdue last season and will have four years of eligibility remaining. The Huskers could benefit from additional quarterback depth behind starter Dylan Raiola. Freshman quarterback Daniel Kaelin transferred to Virginia earlier this month.
In the meantime, Heinrich Haarberg is moving to the tight end position. Davila will give the Huskers a quarterback with multiple years of eligibility and additional Big Ten experience.
Social media had a ton of reactions to this latest commitment, as the program continues to be active for what has been a busy couple of weeks.
