Six Georgia Bulldog transfers ranked in top 100

247 Sports released their list ranking the top 100 transfers in the country from the winter transfer portal cycle, and six former Georgia Bulldogs made the list including four players that left UGA this winter.

Georgia lost a significant amount of talent via the transfer portal this offseason including two of the top three transfers in the country in outside linebacker Damon Wilson (Missouri) and quarterback Carson Beck (Miami).

Two new incoming Georgia Bulldogs transfers also made the list in USC transfer receiver Zachariah Branch (No. 11) and Texas A&M transfer receiver Noah Thomas (No. 30).

Wilson was a surprise transfer from the Georgia Bulldogs, as the rising junior pass-rusher was expected to be a starting player for Georgia in 2025. However, he transferred to the SEC rival Missouri Tigers. He will be joining former Georgia transfer Darris Smith as a one-two punch in Missouri’s pass rush. Wilson ends his Georgia career with 3.5 sacks.

No. 3: Carson Beck

Georgia quarterback Carson Beck (15) throws the ball during the first half of a NCAA college football game against Georgia Tech in Athens, Ga., on Friday, Nov. 29, 2024.

Beck originally declared for the 2025 NFL draft, despite his lackluster 2024 season. Later, Beck opted to transfer use his remaining eligibility with the Miami Hurricanes instead. He will be looking to replace Cam Ward, a Heisman candidate and the consensus No. 1 quarterback in the upcoming draft.
