Mississippi State basketball only played one game last week, edging Georgia 76-75 on Saturday.
The win wasn’t enough to move it in the rankings.
The Bulldogs (17-6, 5-5 SEC) stayed out of this week’s USA TODAY Coaches Poll, receiving 72 votes to put them as the first team out. It’s 16 fewer votes than last week. They had fallen out of the Coaches Poll last week for the first time since December after consecutive losses to Alabama and Missouri. The Bulldogs also stayed put in AP Poll at No. 22
The top four of the Coaches Poll consists of all SEC teams: No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Auburn, No. 3 Florida and No. 4 Tennessee.
MSU hosts Florida (20-3, 7-3) at Humphrey Coliseum on Tuesday (6 p.m., ESPN2) then plays at No. 23 Ole Miss (18-6, 7-4) on Saturday (5 p.m., ESPN2).
