Ohio State football sets up visit with local linebacker recruit

The Ohio State football 2025 recruiting class is in the books, and it may have been one of the best in recent memory. However, the coaching staff has already moved on to 2026, which may be even better, and it also appears that the class of 2027 is receiving some attention as well. One of the top linebackers in the class of 2027 is Jackson Reynolds, who is setting up a number of spring visits and the Buckeyes will be one of them.

Reynolds is in OSU’s backyard as he plays high school football at Bishop Watterson High School in Columbus, Ohio. He has set up a visit with Ohio State on April 5th. Just because he is in the shadow of the Horseshoe though, doesn’t mean he is a lock to be a Buckeye. The young linebacker has also set up a visit with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on March 21, and although he doesn’t appear to have any official scholarship offers, it appears to be a matter of time before they start pouring in from across the country.

According to his social media, Miami (OH) is also in the mix for his services as he set up a spring visit with them as well, but it should be noted that the young backer has already been to South Bend once and has a good relationship with Notre Dame head coach, Marcus Freeman and linebacker coach, Max Bullough. OSU will always have a chance with a local kid, but the staff better step it up if they really want him.
