Texas A&M’s 2026 recruiting class already features elite talent in several positions. Still, after losing three commits over the past two months, coach Mike Elko and his staff are focused on the prospects who will be visiting over the next three months, which includes 2026 five-star athlete Brandon Arrington.
Arrington is one of the most sought-after prospects in the cycle. He is also one of the fastest players on the field, with the versatility to play wide receiver or cornerback at the next level. Late last month, he placed Texas A&M in his top 12 program list. The Aggies are now among his six finalist before he makes his announcement later this year.
On Sunday, Arirington revealed that Alabama, Georgia, Oregon, Penn State, USC, and Texas A&M are among the final teams he will focus on this summer. Arrington will take an official visit to College Station on June 5-7 before visiting USC a year later.
During his 2023 sophomore season, Arrington recorded 310 receiving yards, four touchdowns on offense, 25 tackles on defense, and a punt return touchdown on special teams. Arrington’s collegiate position future is still unknown, but the Aggies see him as a cornerback at this stage.
According to 247Sports, Arrington is currently the 23rd-ranked prospect in the 2026 cycle, the No. 1-ranked athlete, and the second-ranked prospect in California.
