The Texas A&M football team confirmed Wednesday that wide receiver Micah Hudson was no longer with the team when head coach Mike Elko took to the lectern in a Wednesday press conference.
According to On3, Hudson plans to reenter the transfer portal.
Even though he left the team earlier in the year, there were potential signs he would stay in College Station. Hudson was going to be a downfield asset for strong-armed quarterback Marcel Reed.
Hudson was a part of the wave of players that joined A&M via the transfer portal after the 2024 football season. Previously with Texas Tech, Hudson had 123 yards on eight receptions. He averaged 15.4 yards a catch and was limited to eight games due to an injury.
He was rated a top-10 wide receiver nationally by 247 Sports. No decision has been made on where he will play his sophomore year.
