LSU pushing Georgia and Oklahoma to land elite 2026 QB recruit

LSU football is making a push to land one of the top quarterbacks in the 2026 recruiting class. Four-star prospect Bowe Bentley released his top three schools last week, and LSU made the cut. According to On3’s Hayes Fawcett, Bentley is down to LSU, Georgia, and Oklahoma.

Bentley is a Texas native who watched his recruitment take off in recent months after completing his first year as a starter. On3, 247Sports, and Rivals all rank Bentley as a top 10 quarterback in the class. On3 is the highest on Bentley, ranking him No. 5 at his position and a top 50 overall recruit.

The On3 Industry Rankings place Bentley No. 91 overall, No. 9 at quarterback, and No. 13 in the state of Texas.

LSU is still looking to add a quarterback to its 2026 class, but five of the top 10 QBs already have a home. Bentley, still looking for a home, is a promising option.

We’re still waiting on some quarterback recruiting dominoes to fall. Jared Curts, the No. 1 overall quarterback in the class is down to Georgia and Oregon. If Curtis goes with the Dawgs, LSU’s chances of landing Bentley increase.

Bentley visited LSU in March and will return to campus on an official visit this summer.
