Michigan State football offensive line prospect chooses Notre Dame

Michigan State football has seen one of their top prospects of the 2026 recruiting class get picked off of their recruiting board. A Spartan legacy, nonetheless, Gregory Patrick has made the decision to commit to Notre Dame. Patrick made the decision to commit to the Fighting Irish over MSU, Michigan and Penn State on Sunday.

Patrick, who’s father played at Michigan State, is a 4-star offensive line prospect from Portage, Michigan. He ranks as the No. 174 overall player in the recruiting class, as well as the No. 16 offensive tackle in the class according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Ultimately, the offensive line development from the Fighting Irish won out, and the relationship he had built with the coaches in South Bend was too much for the Spartans to overcome, who have given one heck of a fight in the recruitment.

Michigan State will now turn to the rest of their offensive line board to round out the class in 2026.
