Indianapolis Colts select Alabama’s Tim Smith in 2025 NFL draft

Alabama Crimson Tide defensive tackle Tim Smith was the latest player from the program to hear his name called in the 2025 NFL draft on Saturday, coming off the board in the sixth round at pick No. 190 overall to the Indianapolis Colts.

Smith is the fourth Alabama player selected on Saturday, as well as the seventh overall.

A member of Alabama’s 2020 recruiting class, Smith came to Tuscaloosa as a four-star, Top 100 prospect from the state of Florida where the defensive lineman attended Sebastian River High School. In Tuscaloosa, Smith compiled a career stat line of 124 tackles, 15 TFL, and 6.5 sacks from 2020-24 with the Crimson Tide, and was a member of Alabama’s 2020 national championship team.

Smith now joins a Colts team that prior to today did not have any former Alabama players.
