It all comes down to the final weekend of the season. The SEC regular season title is up for grabs and there are three teams still in the running.
The Oklahoma Sooners opened up a two-game lead in the win column with their sweep of the Texas Longhorns and, in the process, eliminated their Red River rivals from the conference title picture. Texas A&M’s series loss to Arkansas put them two games back in the win column and put them in an all-or-nothing series in Knoxville against the Tennessee Volunteers.
For either the Aggies or the Lady Vols to have a chance at the SEC regular season title, they’ll need some help from the Florida Gators.
Oklahoma can clinch the SEC title with just one win and a loss from both Texas A&M and Tennessee. If either the Aggies or Volunteers earn a series sweep in their weekend matchup, the Sooners would need to win two games.
For everyone else outside the top three in the standings, it’s about SEC tournament seeding for Athens.
