Colorado football recruiting Gavin Mueller final schools list

Colorado football class of 2026 tight end target Gavin Mueller released his final four schools on Tuesday.

The Buffaloes are part of a final group, along with Wisconsin, Notre Dame and LSU. The tight end also set his commitment date for May 14, which is only a couple of weeks away.

247Sports lists Mueller as a three-star recruit, but other sites, such as Rivals, have him rated as a four-star. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 823 player in the class of 2026, No. 40 tight end and No. 17 recruit from the state of Illinois. Mueller has visits scheduled with Colorado (May 2) and LSU (May 9) leading up to his commitment date.

Colorado’s class of 2026 is currently one player deep, and that is a junior college product who won’t join the program until December. Even though it is still relatively early in the recruiting cycle, any addition would be a major win.

Deion Sanders and Colorado should be hitting the recruiting trail hard this spring with official visits heating up as we enter the summer months. High school recruits are never the No. 1 source of new talent for the Coach Prime-led Buffs, but the idea of quality over quantity seems to ring true every time. Mueller, a four-star prospect, would be a quality addition to kickstart their high school recruiting efforts this year.
